The World Bank Granted Mexico A Loan Of 751.9 Million Dollars

The World Bank granted Mexico a loan of 751.9 million dollars to stimulate business in the country. The loan is for 18 years, it has a variable interest rate of 6 month LIBOR plus a variable margin.
The loan is to support economic policies that strengthen the business in Mexico and micro-economic foundations for economic growth and job creation, the World Bank said in a statement Tuesday.
With the money Mexico will strengthen the conditions for competition in key markets, particularly in the telecommunications sector, said the World Bank.
It will also streamline business regulations so as to reduce trade costs and other transactions, facilitating the adoption of new technologies, the world body said in its report.
The Bank of Mexico said Mexico was committed to improving the regulatory framework to encourage access to financial sector stability and market transparency. He noted that the country will promote partnerships in infrastructure to expand infrastructure services essential key to the productivity of Mexican firms.
